Dr. Marika Long, LPC, CCTP, C-DBT
Founder & Clinical Director
marika.long@raphacounselinggroup.com
I’m Dr. Marika Long, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Clinical Director of Rapha Counseling Group. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist (C-DBT), I hold a Ph.D. in Counseling and Psychological Studies with a specialization in Trauma and Crisis Counseling.
With over a decade of experience in mental health and school-based settings, my work is rooted in helping individuals move from survival to stability and ultimately toward meaningful, lasting change. I specialize in trauma recovery, emotional regulation, and navigating complex life transitions. My approach integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy, while also honoring the role of faith, identity, and lived experience in the healing process.
As both a clinician and clinical director, I am deeply committed to providing care that is not only compassionate, but clinically sound and results-driven. I believe therapy should be a place of both grace and accountability. A place where clients are supported, challenged, and equipped with practical tools to create real change in their lives.
My goal is to help clients rediscover their strength, establish healthy patterns, and walk confidently in a renewed sense of purpose and peace. Healing is not just about what you’ve been through; it’s about what you choose to build moving forward.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalms 147:3
Jada Rasheed, RMFT
Psychotherapist
jada@raphacounselinggroup.com
I’m Jada Rasheed, a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist (RMFT), and my work is rooted in the belief that meaningful change happens through connection, curiosity, and collaboration. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, and my clinical training has allowed me to work with individuals, couples, teens, young adults, men, and women navigating life transitions, identity exploration, relational challenges, and personal growth.
My journey into therapy has been shaped not only by education, but by lived experience and a deep respect for each person’s story. I understand that change is inevitable, but it doesn’t have to be faced alone. In therapy, I offer a space where clients can show up authentically, without pressure to have everything figured out.
My therapeutic approach is systemic and collaborative, drawing from narrative, solution-focused, and collaborative modalities. This means I look beyond isolated symptoms to understand the larger picture—relationships, environment, values, and patterns—while also helping clients identify practical, meaningful steps forward. I view therapy as a partnership: you bring your experiences and goals, and together we work toward insight, clarity, and movement.
Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for something different, my goal is to support your version of success. Therapy with me is not about fitting into a mold, it’s about creating a space designed for you to reflect, grow, and move toward the life you want to live.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” — Romans 12:2
Bethel Gizaw, MSW
Psychotherapist
bethel@raphacounselinggroup.com
Hello, my name is Bethel. I’m a therapist with a Master’s degree in Social Work. I’m dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and improve their emotional well-being. My approach is grounded in a person-in-environment perspective, meaning I consider not only internal experiences like symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma, but also their relationships, stressors, and life circumstances that shape each client’s story.
I also use a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to help clients build coping skills, increase self-awareness, and improve overall functioning. I strive to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.
I believe therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s unique needs. I am committed to meeting clients where they are and supporting them in building resilience, confidence, and a greater sense of balance in their lives. I am passionate about supporting individuals through life transitions, relationship concerns, stress, and mood-related challenges.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your minds in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:6-7
